A 17-year-old Townview boy has been charged with 13 offences for a string of property offences committed in Mount Isa over the weekend.

Police said at 4.10am on Saturday, October 16, this youth and two others attended an Alex Pavusa Drive residence, with the 17-year-old smashing his way through the front wooden door. It is alleged the boy located and removed a handbag and set of vehicle keys from the kitchen table, driving a vehicle away from the address.
At 4.15am, police attempted to intercept this vehicle on Hilary Street, by activating emergency lights and siren, however the vehicle failed to stop.
Police said that at about 5.40am, the 17-year-old entered the back yard of a Diane Street address and walked up to the locked rear screen door.
The female occupant heard the back gate open and observed the boy at her rear door. The boy allegedly asked her for help, then demanded her vehicle keys. When she refused, he demanded the keys again and threatened to punch her in the face.
When the woman refused for a second time, the boy allegedly forcibly pulled at the screen door, breaking the locking mechanism. After a tug of war the boy made his way inside, punching the woman in the chin, causing her to fall.
Police said he grabbed her handbag from the kitchen table, which contained house and vehicle keys before fleeing in her vehicle.
Detectives located the three boys on Sunday afternoon at different Mount Isa addresses.
The 17-year-old was charged with two counts of dangerous operation, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evasion and attempted enter dwelling with intent at night and one count each of robbery, burglary, enter dwelling with intent by break at night, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break and stealing.
He will appear in the Mount Isa Childrens Court at a later date.
A 16-year-old Sunset boy has been charged with two counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, along with one count each of; burglary and commit indictable offence, robbery, enter dwelling with intent by break at night and stealing.

A 14-year-old Pioneer boy has been charged with three counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and one count each of; burglary and commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possess thing intended for use in connection with offence under 419/421 of the Criminal Code.
He has been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
