The event is happening Saturday, October 23 with pop up clinics at three schools in the district and anyone 12 and over is eligible with no bookings required - just walk right in and be vaccinated.
The clinics are on at:
Spinifex Senior Campus (Mount Isa) 9am-2pm
Good Shepherd Catholic College (Mount Isa) 8am-1pm and
Cloncurry State School 8am-1pm.
The clinics come after deputy premier Steven Miles visited Mount Isa and said time was running out to get vaccinated before Queensland opens up in December.
"We need you to come in and get vaccinated before 17 December, when all of those border restrictions will be lifted," Mr Miles said.
"Please, between now and 17 December, that's your chance to get vaccinated. And if you're vaccinated, you will have the maximum freedoms going forward."
