Two people will face court on Wednesday after Mount Isa Police arrested two people in a local drug bust.

Acting Detective Inspector of Mount Isa Police District, Sean Wade that as a result of search warrant in Mount Isa on Tuesday two people, neither local residents, were taken into custody.
"We have located 70 grams of amphetamine and over $200,000 cash which we allege is the proceeds of crime," A/DI Wade said.
A 40-year-old man from Townsville and 38-year-old women will face Mount Isa Magistrates Court charged with supply of dangerous drug and possessing proceeds of a crime, possessing thing used in the commission of a crime and possessing utensils used in the commission of a crime while the man has also been charged with breach of bail.

"This is as the result of police work and the search warrant in Mount Isa city came across the found," A/DI Wade said.
"Taking drugs off the street is significant as they cause harm in the community and to be taking drugs and cash out of the hands of alleged drug traffickers will certainly benefit the people of Mount Isa."
The police investigation is continuing.
