The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast Mount Isa will get a run of days above 40 degree from Saturday, with temperatures forecast between 40-42 degrees until at least next Tuesday.
Thursday is predicted to get to 39 and sunny in Mount Isa and then 38 on Friday before we hit the 40s.
There will be some accompanying humidity with possible light rain on Sunday to Wednesday with a 30-50pc chance of small falls on all days.

Last week we had 27.0mm falls in Mount Isa on Thursday, November 11 and then 49.4mm on Friday.
It meant lovely cooler conditions with tops of between 26 and 32 for the last week.
Up in the Gulf max temperatures will be between 37 and 40 for the next few days with only a 20pc chance of rain on Friday in Normanton.
A flood warning remains in place for the Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes and downstream while there is a minor flood warning for the Georgina with minor flooding easing at Marion Downs.
Lake Moondarra is 53.9pc full while Lake Julius is 100pc full.
