There is more rain forecast for the day with a high (80%) chance of showers, becoming less likely in the late morning.
The chance of a thunderstorm remains this morning though the forecast will change to the return of sunnier weather from Friday and a top of 33 degrees.
At the time of writing the rain had stopped, but there was 3.8mm in the official Mount Isa rain gauge at the airport.
The relative humidity was 91pc.
Lake Moondarra is 53.1pc full while Lake Julius is at 99.3pc.
