Thursday's forecast for Mount Isa has already come to pass with the "possible" morning storm leading to thunder that woke many people up around 6am Thursday.
There is more rain forecast for the day with a high (80%) chance of showers, becoming less likely in the late morning.
The chance of a thunderstorm remains this morning though the forecast will change to the return of sunnier weather from Friday and a top of 33 degrees.
At the time of writing the rain had stopped, but there was 3.8mm in the official Mount Isa rain gauge at the airport.
The relative humidity was 91pc.
Lake Moondarra is 53.1pc full while Lake Julius is at 99.3pc.
Carters Bore has 12.2mm, Camooweal 10.2mm, Cloncurry 3.0mm, New May Downs 5.0mm. The Monument 1.2mm
Century Mine has 1.6mm though the rest of the Gulf has remained dry.
There is a 20pc possibility of more rain next Tuesday rising to 30pc on Wednesday.
