The final race meeting of the year had a good crowd of Christmas party-goers for the five-race card.
This year Ballard added another country jockey of the year award to his cabinet and he and his mum and dad Denise and Keith were added to the Queensland racing Hall of Fame in September.
On Saturday he started the ball rolling in race 1 the Merry Xmas Benchmark 60 handicap over 1450m.
Ballard rode Denise Ballard's Shivkhani to victory by two lengths from favourite Dusky Damsel with Myola Milly finishing third.
The Ballards made it a double in race 2 Steejo Press Benchmark 55 handicap over 1000m.
Dan rode Denise's Scarpa to win by a length from the appropriately-named Christmas Creek while All About Me finished third.
Race 3 was the Cava Group Maiden Plate over 1200m and Terrence Hill prevailed on Tanya Parry's Whitsunday Star storming away to win by almost 10 lengths from El Ranchos and Sunny Ekcels.

Ballard was back in the winner's frame in race 4 Terry Morris Builders QTIS Benchmark 50 handicap over 1000m.
He rode Parry's Fa Fa to victory by four lengths from Rockethead and Whits End.
The final race the See Ya Next Year Open handicap over 1200m was won by Jenna Edwards aboard Justin Bawden's Mr Tindall winning by three lengths from Craiglea Altona and Level Eight.
Mount Isa Race Club's AGM will take place at Buchanan Park on December 17 and racing will return to Mount Isa on February 26, 2022.
