A WOMAN, 70, has been injured in an abduction attempt in Adelaide's north east.

She was walking her dog along Kennedy Street in St Agnes about 7am yesterday when she was confronted by a man standing next to a car with the boot open.
As she walked past, he grabbed her from behind and pulled her towards the vehicle.
"A man who was walking his dog nearby yelled out and the suspect violently pushed the woman to the ground and fled in the car," police said.
Police want to speak with the man who yelled out as they believe he witnessed the incident.
He was was walking a rottweiler dog on nearby Avago Street.
The woman struck her head on the pavement and received treatment at Modbury Hospital for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as Caucasian in appearance with an olive complexion, aged in his late 20's, 170cm tall, slim build with short dark hair.
He was wearing a grey hooded jumper and black jeans.
The vehicle was an old model white Holden Statesman.
"Police ask anyone who either witnessed the incident, saw a white Holden Statesman driving in the vicinity or saw a man matching this description acting suspiciously in the area to contact Crime Stoppers," police said.
