In the other match at the Mount Isa Indoor Sports Centre, Amaze-ball lost to Sonic Health despite 10 points from star Lee-anne Byrant.
Matariki was forced to forfeit its match-up against Sonic Health, ending its unbeaten record for the season.
In the men’s Mitech B-grade competition, P.Pride was led by Jhay Santo in its 35-10 victory over Blazers B.
Blazers player Francesco Ambia was a standout, scoring all 10 of his team’s points.
Celtics teammates Edward Farlow and Peter Baker scored 10 points each as their side grinded out a tough 42-36 win against Pandamonium B.
Centre Matt Clark was unstoppable for Pandamonium, with most of his 18 points coming in the key.
In the 2PH men’s A-grade, the Blazers were too strong for Pandamonium, 44 -32, on Thursday night.
Jade Geary was the star for the Blazers with 13 points as well as many crucial assists and rebounds down the stretch.
Zac Bell’s nine points led the way for Pandamonium.
In the other men’s A-grade match, Paul Scarsi had two free-throws after the final buzzer to win the game for Home Boiz but missed both, giving the win to Sonic Boom.
Scarsi led his team on the night with six baskets, one three-pointer and five free-throws, while Josh McCrae starred for the victors with 22 points.
In the mixed netball action, the Wannabees proved too strong for the Strikers, 21-15, while new team Naccas lost to Loose Screws by one goal. Nothing’s Special edged out The Croods in a thriller, 19-18.
