Townview posted a defendable total after being bowled out for 237 at Captain Cook Oval.
But Mount Isa Cricket Association heavyweights Black Stars had little trouble reeling in the total, chasing down Townview’s score with four overs to spare to remain unbeaten this season.
Scott Kyle (81) and Andrew Cullis (80) led the way in the Black Stars run chase, while captain Kyle Keighery chimed in with 36.
Ash Benson (19 not out) and Andrew Lawrenson (five not out) guided Black Stars to victory with the winning runs.
Black Stars wicket-takers were Keighery (3-37) and Lawrenson (2-36), while Alistair Baker, Jamie Stewart and Glenn Angel each took a wicket.
Wayne Wood was Townview’s top scorer with the bat notching 66 while Clint Heuir scored 47.
In the other game on Saturday, Western Bulls were untroubled by the Panthers measly total of 136.
The Bulls reached the Panthers total with six overs and four wickets to spare at Sunset Oval.
Adrian Morrisby top scored with 35 not out for the Bulls, while Nick Diamond, Wes Hall and Matt Dunn all chipped in with scores in the 20s.
Kyle Anderson took three wickets for the Bulls while Diamond, Morrisby and Dunn all took two wickets each.
Will Allen top scored for the Panthers with 45, while Blain McCormack was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets.
