Tamara Holder and Prudence Pocock had standout performances for the 2014 grand final runners-up in their 34-16 victory, while Maddison Gorman and Katie Luckman were magnificent for HV & IS.
Matariki A dominated the first half against Good Shepherd Catholic College to come away with a 41-18 win.
Waireta Emery (17 goals) and Courtenay Tohoraka (24 goals) combined well to provide all the points for Matariki on the score board.
Phoebe Ryder in defence and Carmen Preston (9 goals) in attack were GSCC’s best players on the night.
In Division 2, Matariki Just Do It returned to winning ways with a 25-15 win over Foxs courtesy of standout performances by Adeline Toamau (19 goals) and Kahukura Hapipene.
Kerrie Brummell (3 goals) and Ashley Burke were instrumental for Foxs, who won against Matariki B in the previous round.
Matariki B came from behind in the second quarter to defeat Sapphires 24-19, with Carlene Haupini (18 goals) and Julia Yalinatoba guiding their side to the win.
Sapphires players Nadine Botha (14 goals) and Kimberley Munro (5 goals) combined well to score all of its team’s points in the loss.
In Division 3, 2PH Super Nova continued its good form with a solid 27-18 win over Workpac Wildcats thanks to top performances on court from Kim Stokes (8 goals) and Ricarda Makim.
The Wildcats standouts were Liz Constable (13 goals) in goal attack and Rachel Schultz in goal defence.
Gems put on a quality display of netball to come away as 29-point victors over Bullets, with Josie Stokes and Amanda Wellington (18 goals) rising above the rest for Gems.
In the other Division 3 game, NQR Vixens got a win over 2PH Joeys who forfeited.
In Division 4, 2PH Redbacks finished the game strongly to beat Pythons 30-19, with Debbie McArdle and Lenore Krutzfeldt delivering great performances for the winning team.
Pythons players Danielle Smith and Maree Grogan in defence did their best to keep out the Redbacks onslaught.
Diamonds players Brooke Herreygers and Melissa Pierce (16 goals) contributed greatly to their team’s triumph, whereas Thunder players Tiffany Walmsley and Nicole Killip (2 goals) also played well.
In Division 5, Lifesavers player Rebecca Maxwell was solid in defence during her team’s 16-10 win over Stingers, who had notable performances from Caitlin Beanland and Katy McGregor (7 goals).
Amanda Johnson, who had great support from teammate Zoie Keys, scored 33 goals for Socialites in their 46-point win (55-9) over Atull Plumbing Vixens.
Vixens players Kelsy Deans
(1 goal) and Veronica Walker
(4 goals) were the better performers on court for the losing side.
