ALISON Gordon-Dunbar was crowned club champion after taking out the title by a single stroke on the weekend. Her gross total of 274 was enough to hold off the fast finishing Angie Sciascia by a single shot.

The A grade golfers exchanged leads several times over the three days of competition, with Auretta Perrin setting the pace early with a six-shot lead over Gordon-Dunbar and Sciascia to end day one. Gordon-Dunbar responded on day two, finishing off with an 86 of the stick blitzing her rivals.
Holding her form in humid hot conditions Gordon-Dunbar proved her class on the final day, holding off Sciascia and Perrin for her first ever club championship.
The prestigious event also staged the B-Grade competition, with Ulla Allen coming up trumps. Allen proved her class from day one with an impressive 93 off the stick. Day two was her best day with a hole in one on hole five and ending the day with a 92. Her good form continued on day three with a 94 blowing the field away and winning by 30 strokes. Her gross score of 279 proved enough to win her major victory, as Judy Fangrath with a score of 309 claimed outright second.
Liz Debney successfully defended her C-Grade title, edging out her nearest rival Liz Jakeman by three strokes.
In other golf news, Liz Jakeman collected the Sunset Butchery Trophy with a score of 39 points. Ulla Allen’s accuracy earned her all the pin shots on 12 and 14.

The Dorothy Floyde Memorial Trophy for the best overall nett went to Ulla Allen and the Paula Palmer Masters Trophy also went to Ulla Allen.

The nearest to pin on Saturday on the second was Auretta Perrin, fifth was Nikki Mills, 12th was Judy Fangrath. On Sunday on the 14th was Rene Thompson, 17th was Dianne Foot, 18th was Angie Sciascia. On Monday on the second was Rene Thompson, fifth and 10th was Ulla Allen.
