A spokesperson for Attilla Sautov, Anna Moores, said the violinist was enthusiastic about bringing classical music to rural areas with the Duo Recital show.
“He just loves bringing music to the smaller communities, who can’t actually attend world class performances or they have to travel a long way to the big concert halls,” she said.
“Even though Attilla has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious venues, he has chosen to go to the smaller communities and the smaller towns.
“It’s quite bold of him to go on such a big tour, but he really enjoys it, he loves meeting people and he loves talking to small communities, so he’s really excited,” she said.
Ms Moores said Mr Sautov and German pianist Oleg Poliansky met while touring with the Cologne New Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
“They’ve known each other for at least 12 years, and they’ve performed together quite a lot overseas,” Ms Moores said.
“Approximately 10 years ago Attilla moved to Australia while he was on tour with the German Orchestra, and he loved Australia so much that he decided to stay here and Oleg flew down from Germany.
“He [Oleg] has been down here once before to perform with Attilla, but this is the biggest tour that he will be doing with Attilla yet,” she said.

Ms Moores said the tour will take the duet through regional and rural New South Wales and Queensland.
“He’ll start in Queensland in Maryborough, heading up north to Cooktown, and then out to Mount Isa, and then back through Longreach and down through Chinchilla and Toowoomba,” she said.
She said audiences could expect pieces like the Moonlight Sonata and Meditation.
“They’ll be playing a little bit of Paganini, which Attilla is quite famous for playing because his works are quite technically difficult, and a lot of Bach as well, which is requested quite often,” she said.
Mr Sautov and Mr Poliansky will bring Duo Recital to Mount Isa on July 22.
Tickets for the Duo Recital are $35 and can be purchased at Outback at Isa.
