The Brumbies will join 14 teams from six countries at the Super Rugby pre-season event that looms as an important build-up to the regular season.
Brumbies lock Blake Enever said his first crack at 10s has left him with a thirst for more and hoped it would help the team's chances of winning in Brisbane.
The Brumbies lost the world club 10s final against the Western Force in Mauritius in June, but Enever said the knowledge the club gained from preparing for and playing in 10s would be invaluable.
"I hadn't played any 10s or sevens before, so it was a good change from 15-a-side," Enever said.
"It still had elements of 15-a-side, but it was a lot faster and there was more space on the field. It was a good experience.
"We played the Mauritius tournament during a break from Super Rugby, so we had a week or two to prepare and we did do specific plays customised to 10s and that worked out pretty well.
"Not everything came off as we had hoped, but the majority of it was pretty good and the main sort of structure we had, we tried to stick to as much as possible.
"We'll take a lot of positives out of the Mauritius tournament and moving forward we'll become stronger for the experience and customise a few more things we can use."
The Brisbane Global 10s, to be played on February 11-12 at Suncorp Stadium, will include all 10 Super Rugby franchises from Australia and New Zealand.
French powerhouse Toulon, Japan's Panasonic Wild Knights, South Africa's Blue Bulls and the Samoan national team will complete the line-up, which will see 300 players – including many of the best in the world – matching their skills.
Tournament organiser David Higgins said: "The Brisbane Global 10s is the pre-eminent rugby 10s tournament on the planet on every measure."
Enever says the nature of 10s football means games can develop into free-flowing, high-scoring affairs or be lower-scoring and defensively tighter, depending on the quality of the teams involved.
"It was interesting, playing it for the first time," he said. "You had to keep your wits about you and I really enjoyed it."
