It's a slow trip into Brisbane from the south after an earlier car fire closed three lanes of the Pacific Motorway.
The car burst into flames about 5.40am and took firefighters more than half an hour to extinguish.
Three lanes of the busy highway were closed heading into the morning peak period but crews managed to clear the vehicle by 6.30am.
Delays remained after 7am, with the government-run traffic website reporting a slow journey through Holland Park West and further south to Loganholme and Underwood.
There were more delays further north through Mount Gravatt.
To the north of the city, the Gateway Motorway was traditionally slow through Bracken Ridge, as was the Bruce Highway back to North Lakes.
