Organiser Bret Wessels said 650 tickets were sold for the inaugural event held last Saturday night, but this did not include the fighters and trainers.
He said the next event will be held in late April – to avoid the discomfort of the summer’s temperatures.
There were 11 bouts on the night after a last minute forfeit.
Crowd favourite moments included two grudge matches between Rovers and Tigers footballers.
“When those fights were on you couldn’t hear the person next to you talking, it was that loud,” Mr Wessels said.
Organisers will have seven months to put together another event, which will also be held at the basketball court. Mr Wessels said the court was perfect for the purposes of a boxing night.
In that time they can draw on a greater range of fighters, many as far as Brisbane who expressed interest in competing.
