Last weekend Warrigals flogged Cloncurry 47-0 but Keas were in mood to roll over for their opponents.
The rain that fell most of the day had stopped by the evening but the surface was still wet and the ball slippery leading to many handling errors and the first half was littered with stoppages.
The signs were ominous for Keas early on when they coughed up the ball in their own 22 in the first three minutes and although they were let off on that occasion, the heavier Warrigals pack quickly regained possession and they scrambled the ball over the line for the first five pointer with the game barely six minutes old.
But the conversion went wide and there was to be no further scoring for well over an hour.
Keas played the first quarter of the game deep inside their own territory but a combination of gritty defence and handling errors under pressure kept them in the game.
Eventually they began to carve out a few openings of their own and with a bit more composure might have got a shock leveller.
Warrigals again dominated the final 10 of the half and a Keas player was sin-binned after a 20-man brawl near half time.
Warrigals decided to go for three points in a resulting penalty but missed the mark leaving the score 5-0 at the break.
The second half started evenly with both sides creating chances but time after time the ball would not stikc in players’ hands.
With 10 minutes to go, Warrigals took a set shot from another penalty and finally gave themselves a buffer to take an 8-0 lead.
Keas’ gallant effort finally ran out of legs and Warrigals, finally looking relaxed, powered over for three late tries.
Nicholas Cook bagged a five pointer off fine work from Casey Kempson.
Then Ryan Cassidy added another.
Finally Patrick McDonald added a fourth right on full time to make it a blow-out score Keas’ fine effort on the night barely warranted.
The final score was Warrigals 23, Keas 0.
Euros beat Cloncurry 37-7.
