Rockhampton didn't disappoint turning on some very hot, Mount Isa-like weather for the two days of competition.
The Mount Isa players, partially conditioned to the heat on court, were able to complete all matches set down for decision.
For some of the team it was their first experience at a tournament at this level.
Jesse Street and Matthew Braithwaite played some close matches and were unfortunate to not come away with a few more wins for the team.
In the 13 and under boys category, Adam Moes and Thomas Braithwaite settled into their rhythm early in the tournament finishing 12th and fifth respectively.
Emma Braithwaite and Ben Crick came up against some stiff opposition in their division but both players enjoyed the experience along with the social aspect associated with such an event.
The team finished in eighth position overall while in the age divisions Thomas Braithwaite came fifth, Emma and Matthew Braithwaite came tenth, Adam Moes came 12th, BouDean Evans and Jesse Street came 15th while Rachael Hall, Lexie Pattel and Ben Crick ended up in 16th.
Theresa Braithwaite from the Copper City Tennis club said the team did the North West proud.
"Overall the players are to be commended on their sportsmanship and behaviour across the weekend," she said.
