Bulls batted first but both their openers were dismissed cheaply.
Wes Hall was out caught by Billy Baillie off the bowling of Cody Tully for 3 while Tully clean bowled Lewis Reed for 1.
In came Kevin Grubb at number three and he was the stalwart of the Bulls’ innings making a well-compiled half century.
Grubb struggled to find partners as Adrian Morrisby was out for 6, B. Maker out for 4 and Steve Milligan bowled by Adam Mau for 4.
Grubb was eventually caught off the bowling of Adam Mau for 53.
Scott then came in at number seven to make a swift 33 to boost the Bulls score before being bowled by Roberts. Long was out for 2 and Morro was 0 not out for a total of 128.
Best of the bowlers were Cody Tully 3 for 15, Dale Roberts 2 for 22 and Adam Mau 2 for 18.
Clint Heuir took 1 for 17 while Billy Baillie, Jason Knight and Brayden Jones all had a bowl without taking wickets.
If three wickets wasn’t enough, Cody Tully starred with the bat too.
Opening the innings he seemed certain to score a superb century and carry his bat through the inning when he was adjudged out LBW for 94 off the bowling of Lewis Reed.
Tully was the only Townview batsman to master the hot conditions in the middle particularly with Reed in menacing form.
Out cheaply were Nic Cerlona (0) bowled by Reed, Tim Conlon (3) LBW to Reed, Dale Roberts (0) caught off the bowling of Hall and Jason Knight (9) caught off Reed.
Luke Henry steadied the ship with 21 not out, to get Townview over the line.
Easily best of the Bulls bowlers was Lewis Reed with a superb ‘five for’, 5 for 41 in his eight overs.
Wes Hall also took a wicket 1 for 26 while there were no wickets for bowlers Scott, Grubb, Maher and Morro.
Despite Reed’s best efforts it was Cody Tully’s star turn with bat and ball that rightly earned him man of the match.
