The match was to be held at Sunset Oval in Mount Isa last Sunday.
14-year-old organiser Frank Moro confirmed the game was cancelled due to rain but that it will be held from 9am this coming Sunday.
“The game’s at the same time and is being played at Sunset.
“We’re estimating a turnout of 40 plus people,” Frank said.
He said everybody was encouraged to play at the oval, for a gold coin donation.
The charity match is part of the Ponting Foundation’s national fundraiser, the Biggest Game of Cricket.
A sausage sizzle and drinks will also be available on the day.
Frank said he was inspired to support the foundation during the 2014 Ashes series when he heard Ricky Ponting’s motivational speech about what the foundation did to help.
