Byron Bay’s Elements of Byron resort will relaunch in October with expanded leisure, accommodation and education offerings.
The development will include a dozen new and revamped leisure areas, including a new adults-only 25-metre heated pool with swim-up bar, and new children’s playground.
A new Eco Education Centre will provide a hub for the local community and resort guests to learn about sustainable living including food production. The centre will be 100 per cent solar-powered and include productive market gardens that will provide food for the resort’s restaurants.
Importantly, nature will remain the resort’s “real star”, with less than 4 per cent of the area developed.
Guests will be able to choose from five dining outlets, including a private club on Belongil Beach, and 99 new villas are being crafted within an entirely new section of the property surrounded by forest and creek.
Activities include horse-riding, yoga classes, tennis, an outdoor fitness circuit, indoor gym and fire-pit Fridays.
Kangaroo Island’s Southern Ocean Lodge has organised a seven-night hiking expedition, departing August 26, using the new 61-kilometre wilderness trail which opened last October on the island’s remote south-west coast.
The walk is limited to 10 hikers and follows bush tracks through a variety of terrains, from rugged limestone cliff-tops to dense eucalypt forest.
Participants will stay in the luxury lodge each night and be transported daily to the trail.
Priced from $7200 per person twin-share, the package includes all dining and beverages, as well as a spa treatment, a full expedition kit, services of a lodge guide and provision of a gourmet walker’s lunch each day.
Save up to $200 on a five-night indulgence package at Solar Springs health resort at Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Pay from $1430 per person, including accommodation, all healthy, delicious meals, participation in the resort’s health and fitness program, use of all facilities (including heated indoor pool, spa, gymnasium, tennis court, etc), facial, choice of massage, and pedicure.
