Eye Candy and Moves Like Jagger aren’t song names, they are undoubtedly the names on the lips of every professional bull and bronc rider.
The 2015 and 2016 winner, and hot favourite for the 2017 APRA Bucking Bull of the Year Eye Candy will be the animal to watch at both the Xtreme Bulls and rodeo.
To date Eye Candy has never had a qualifying ride and is so synonymous with riders that some may hope to avoid him, according to stock supplier Eddie Gill, of Gill Bros Rodeo.
“There are still a lot of the strong competitors wanting to take him on,” Mr Gill said.

While proud that Eye Candy makes a rider’s job tougher, Mr Gill said he loves nothing more than seeing rider’s make the eight.
His eyes will be on Jason O’Hearn, a professional of 18 years, who has chosen the Merry Muster as his only Queensland event.
“Jason is one of the best riders since Troy Dunn. He’s had a couple of goes (on Eye Candy),” Mr Gill said.
“The best riders will get a shot at drawing him at Xtreme Bulls and the rodeo, and if not him, then at his stable mate Crash who is a really exciting bull to watch when he gets into the air.”
The animals will be among the 40 bulls and 35 horses Gill Bros Rodeo bring to ‘Curry. Moves Like Jagger will be among the list of six best broncs to take part in the Merry Muster’s highlight rodeo event, the Ken Coleman Shoot-out.
Six of the best riders will take to the broncs in a winner-takes-all shoot out. The broncs selected have taken part in every major final bronc event in the country.
Another to look for will be the 2015 APRA Bareback Horse of the Year Little Egypt, which test one of the bronc competitors.
Gill Bros Rodeo has been involved in the Merry Muster for more than 30 years, as competitors and stock suppliers. The contractor takes great pride in its close association with the event and goes out of its way to ensure the riders and the crowds get the most out of the event.

“The aim for us is to supply what the cowboy needs to win the event,” Mr Gill said. “We create a level playing field so that everyone has the same shot at winning.”
Rodeo events will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Cloncurry Equestrian Centre. Spectators will see bareback bronc and bull riding, rope and tie and steer wrestling.
