The dancers were joined on the field for a special group photo with the players from the laides game as well as the players from Town and Brothers and match officials.
In the game of the two unbeaten teams, premiers Towns were proving too strong for an improved Brothers and holding them out 20-6 after an hour when a Townies player suffered a neck injury that caused a long delay while they waited for an ambulance.
Town said the player’s injure is fine but the game was eventually abandoned and the points awarded to Town.
Over in Cloncurry the game with Black Stars at Eddie Lee Field was delayed a day to the crash that closed the Barkly Hwy on Saturday afternoon.
When the sides did eventually play Curry ran out 60-10 winners.
