“Split the Atom has been very impressive in a few of his performances out here,” Mr Ballrard said
“Anymore is a bit of an unknown and is fairly new to the area, but was a consistent performer prior to coming to the area.
“Night Wolf on his day could be quite competitive as well.”
The field for the Mount Isa Cup is (1) Chestnut Road, (2) Weathervane, (3) Anymore, (4) Night Wolf, (5) Split the Atom, (6) Two of a Kind, (7)Rodeo Destiny.

Mr Ballard said cup day was “a unique day out” for locals looking to spice up their weekend.
“It is our premier day of racing for the calendar year and there will be something for everyone.
“The quality of racing is as good as you will see in the north west. It is a day you cannot experience in town outside of a race meeting,” he said.
This year’s fashions on the field is sure to entice a flurry of keen fashionistas.
“We have quite a rich purse for fashions on the field again this year.
A whopping $700 is up for grabs in the classic ladies and open ladies categories, best millinery will score $400 and dashing gents will be vying for $300.
Judges will be looking for originality, attention to detail with accessories and interpretation of current trends.
Women’s fashion has been all about contrast, floral prints, lady-like dresses and plunging necklines at local meetings this year.
Chiseled hems, thigh-high splits, colour blocking and detailed panel work have been on show, and a lot of monochromatic prints – mainly black and white.
The race club is licensed until midnight, so the festivities are expected to continue well into the night.
Local band BullDust will be drawing racegoers to the dancefloor after the final horse pulls past the post at about 5pm.
