Senator Anning sparked outrage when he used the Nazi-associated phrase "final solution" during his inaugural parliamentary speech last week criticising Muslim immigration.

A number of Labor and Liberal national MPs spoke to the motion on Thursday, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk - whose grandparents fled Nazi-occupied Poland - saying the speech hit home for her personally.

"So when Senator Anning talks about a 'final solution' he's talking about getting rid of my grandparents," the premier told parliament.

Ms Palaszczuk has already flagged she will review a special arrangement with the Queensland branch of KAP which sees them granted five more staff than they would usually be entitled to, a holdover from the last term of government.

The Liberal National Party Opposition supported the motion on Thursday but again called on Ms Palaszczuk to immediately end the agreement with the Katters.

LNP frontbencher Andrew Powell also cautioned Labor against "politicising" the issue.

"Because it's fair to say that both sides of politics, both major parties, have some darker moments when it comes to multiculturalism," Mr Powell said.

In the speech the senator called for a plebiscite to be held on immigration, calling for more migrants from European backgrounds and a ban on Muslim immigration.

Federal KAP leader Bob Katter applauded the speech as "magnificent" and "solid gold".

His son Robbie Katter, who also leads the Queensland branch off the party, tried to amend the motion in state parliament on Thursday to take some of its bite out but was voted down.

He claimed the senator's words had been twisted by the media storm that had ensued since his speech.

"There's a disconnect between what we're trying to communicate here and what's being challenged," Mr Katter said.
