Four men have been charged after a man was allegedly violently assaulted over a half-hour period outside of a licenced premises in Richmond last month.

Police said that on August 23 at 11.40pm a fight broke out between a group of men in the bar in Goldring St and a 32-year-old man was knocked to the floor and punched before being dragged to the footpath.
The men kicked and punched the man’s head on the ground before going back inside, leaving him in the gutter.
Then one of the group came back outside and photographed the man, kicking him back down when he tried to sit up.
The same group approached the victim and continued to seriously assault him before taking some of his property.
The incident lasted 30 minutes and he was found 90 minutes later by a passing ambulance and taken to Richmond Hospital.
He suffered bleeding on the brain and broken ribs and extensive bruising and lacerations. Two Richmond man, 51 and 46, a Longreach man, 19, and an Alice River man, 46, were charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in company and affray.
They are due to appear in Richmond Magistrates Court on November 14.
