More than 300 people gathered under the stars at the sold out event, to help raise funds for the The North West Breast Cancer Support Group.
Following the success of last year’s event, organisers mixed it up this year with a night time event, rather than the usual five card race day and luncheon.
“We did not think it would sell out as quickly as it did, but I guess the locals know that it is on, and once we advertised it there were heaps of replies,” organiser Mel See said.
“I think it is popular because so many locals have gone through breast cancer and it is all close to our heart.
“This fundraiser goes locally, it stays in Mount Isa and we all know what North West Breast Cancer Group does for the people who have been diagnosed,” she said.
