Players from as far as Normanton, Doomadgee, Burketown and Mornington Island came together to play in the competition which hosted a total of 25 men's sides.
Coach Wade Richardson said their players passion came from representing the communities they come from.
“Not many people thought the Gulf Warriors had a chance of even reaching the quarter finals for the top eight sides, but we proved them wrong. We didn’t finish first but we did come third.
"One of our standout players was young up and coming forward Terrence Casey from Normanton,” he said.
Casey was named Northern Prides under 20s best forward earlier this year.
“Halfback Izaack Toby from Doomadgee, second rower Davin Crampton from Normanton and Zac Walsh the five-eight were also instrumental in attacking.”
