Girlder 12, who attends the Colombia Catholic College in Charters Towers, won age champion in Freestyle 200m swimming and was selected for the interhouse cross country team for athletics in 2018.
The natural all-rounder even broke the 12 year-old girls javelin record last year after throwing a javelin for the first time in her life.
North Queensland Sportscast Awards recognised the youngster at their annual event even though she didn’t bring any awards home, but there’s still time.
This talented young woman moved from Mount Isa to Boulia with her family two years ago.
Chloe’s mother Megan Girdler said her daughter has always loved sports especially swimming.
“She’s a natural, an all-rounder and we are proud of her achievements,” Mrs Girdler said.
