Thompson will be the special guest speaker at the Dinner on the Field on May 11 at the rugby grounds.
He will bring a signed jersey from the 2019 Sea Eagles team which will be auctioned off on the night, which is raising money for Isa Rodeo Queen Quest contestant Kate Lovett on behalf of the North West Queensland Mental Health Network.
But Nine Sports reports that Manly are in danger of losing Thompson to England next season.
Thompson is off-contract at the end of this season and at 30, could pick up a big payday to end his career in Super League.
The former Raiders and Dragons forward is one of the most popular players in the NRL because of his extensive charity work off the field. Several UK clubs are showing interest in Thompson, who could snare a three or four-year deal in England.
