Police said that on Friday April 26, youths were throwing rocks at an Akehurst Dr residence, when a resident told them to stop. One of the boys jumped the fence and opened a gate for the group to walk through.
The boy has allegedly then pulled out a machete and threatened the victim, stating "come over here, I'll slash you". The boys ran away when the resident called for help from a police officer who lives nearby.
A 12-year-old Doomadgee boy has been charged with one count of going armed so as to cause fear and two counts of trespass, relating to other matters.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
