The nail-biting clash saw the Buffs come out victorious after hard-hitting Jimmy Hewett scored three clutch goals late in the game.
The final score read Buffs 9.6.60 to Tigers 5.11.41
The second game of the day started at 2.30pm.
Lake Nash Young Guns had too much pace for the Rovers, however the undermanned Rovers played with only 15 players.
Rovers gave it their all but fatigue took over in the last two quarters.
The scoreboard read lake Nash Young Guns 30.24.204 and Rovers 1.3.9.
