Council said this was the fifth year for the Isa Street Festival and the third year the festival has hosted the street parade.
There were more than 20 float entries in the parade, all in the running for the $4000 prize pool.
The parade celebrates the 25th anniversary of Riversleigh Fossil fields discovery with the theme "Living Fossils".
The headline concert act at the festival is Rai Thistlethwayte of Thirsty Merc.
The event is one of the highlights of Rodeo Week with the 60th year anniversary Mount Isa Mines Rodeo set to start on Thursday.
