A man has been charged with liquor offences after police raised a property on Mornington Island last week.

On September 11, Plain Clothes Constable Luke Suter, assisted by a team of general duties officers, executed a search warrant on a dwelling on Mornington Island.
The search was successful seizing and destroying approximately 160 litres of homemade alcohol, 13 home brew beer kits, six packets of turbo yeast and home-brew kit components including kegs and fermenting accessories.
Cannabis and drug utensils were also located.
As a result of the search, a 59-year-old Wellesley Island man has been charged with possession of liquor in restricted area, possess home-brew concentrate, possess a substance other than home-brew and possess home-brew kit or components of kit.
He will appear in the Mornington Island Magistrates Court on October 9.
