Between 11pm on Wednesday, September 11 and 7am on Thursday, September 12, it is alleged a man has entered a Kookaburra Street address, by removing the fly screen from a side window.
It is alleged the man located a set of vehicle keys from inside the dwelling and attempted to start the corresponding vehicle, but was unsuccessful.
Police located a backpack containing a birth certificate and medicare card in the name of the man, within the vehicle. The keys were also still in the ignition.
An 18-year-old Pioneer man has been charged with burglary and attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on September 30.
