Queensland Opposition talking down infrastructure funding
We shouldn't be surprised by yet more negativity from LNP Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington talking down the $1.9 billion infrastructure and jobs bonanza announced recently for Queensland.

Her lazy claim that regional Queensland missed out on federal funding is an arrogant dismissal of the facts.
The Palaszczuk Government campaigned hard for the Morrison Government to fund more infrastructure, and to bring forward its previously committed infrastructure spending for Queensland.
Labor stood up for Queensland long before the federal election, and last week's infrastructure announcement by the Prime Minister was the culmination of six months of negotiations to create more jobs for Queenslanders.
Federal funding has been brought forward for major road projects like the Rockhampton Ring Road, the second stage of Mackay's ring road and sealing the road to Weipa on Cape York.
Funding was also fast-tracked to develop a freight corridor from Townsville to Roma and deliver more upgrades on the Warrego Highway.
A cornerstone of this announcement was Queensland's conditional agreement to support the Federal Government's Inland Rail project.
According to the Federal Government, Inland Rail will see $6 billion invested in Queensland and support 7,200 jobs - many of them in Toowoomba and South West communities.
And the largest portion of our own government's record $23 billion roads and transport investment over the next four years will support regional Queensland jobs too - over 13,500 of them.
This was a historic state-federal infrastructure announcement that will undoubtedly boost regional investment in Queensland.
It should be celebrated and supported, regardless of party politics.

Thank you for McHappy Day support
We are writing to thank the Mount Isa community for your support of McHappy Day in 2019 - the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
The Mount Isa community helped us celebrate 28 years of McHappy Day by raising more than $5.9 million for RMHC nationally.
These donations will go toward supporting families while their seriously ill or injured child undergoes treatment, helping them to stay together in their time of need.
Throughout the country we saw communities, including residents from Mount Isa, help raise vital funds for RMHC.
We saw local Bucket Brigades, emergency services, community heroes, as well as sporting and TV personalities visiting McDonald's restaurants to help make a difference.
We want to personally say a big thank you to everyone in the Mount Isa community, who got involved on Saturday 16 November, making generous donations, which helped McHappy Day raise more money than ever before.
Fundraising efforts like McHappy Day are vital and ensure RMHC can be there for families with seriously ill children when they need it most.
With so many Australian children requiring treatment, every donation goes a long way to keep families together in their toughest times.
You can continue to support families in need by donating to rmhc.org.au all year round.
Thank you again to the local community for all your help on McHappy Day 2019.
