It will be an evening with events kicking off at the Julia Creek CSA Building from 6pm. There will be a free barbecue dinner, a local Aussie Bake Off, fireworks and the annual Australia Day Awards presentation.
McKinlay Shire Council's Australia Day Ambassador will be Mona Hecke.
Ms Hecke is a naturopath who is running for Gold Coast mayor in the 2020 local elections.
She is known as the "Aussie Health Girl", a naturopath, nutritionist, whole foods educator and author of 'The Lunchbox Revolution.
