The youngest player in the tournament aged just 14 and playing in her first grand slam, Jimenez Kasintseva prevailed 5-7 6-2 6-2 over Poland's Weronika Baszak in Saturday's final at Melbourne Park.
"I started a bit nervous ... playing on Rod Laver Arena, there were people watching and I felt a bit nervous but then I calmed down and I started playing my tennis," Jimenez Kasintseva said.
"I found a way to play better to her. It was a very tough tournament, I actually didn't think that I would win, I guess I fought a lot for it.
"I was about to lose in some matches, and I just kept fighting, I guess that's how I won."
Earlier, French No.1 seed Harold Mayot defeated countryman Arthur Cazaux 6-4 6-1 in the boys' final.
"Arthur is my friend since we are young ... I know him pretty well," Mayot said.
"We won a lot of titles together in the French team (so) it was tough to play against him in the final.
"I hope to play against him for the biggest trophies (in future)."
