There was different sports from darts to stick fighters and then of course your more conventional sports from netball to AFL.
The 2020 sports sign on expo held was held at Buchanan Park on Saturday February 1 with over 70 clubs, groups and organisations networking with potential new members.
Master of Ceremonies for the day Cr Peta MacRae said it was the biggest sign on expo that has ever taken place.
"It was really successful we had 73 stalls, Headspace doing coffee, Rotary club doing food and record numbers through the gate," Ms MacRae said.
"There was some quality entertainment and everyone seemed to be enjoying the day as a whole."
One club that was looking to expand its membership numbers was Gecko Outdoor Sports.
Club president Alison Whitehead said Gecko Outdoor Sports was all about promoting out door fun.
"We have a walking and running club that goes ahead every Saturday and we also do paddling and mountain bike riding," Ms Whitehead said.
"We also do a lot of events for charity and activities for kids and just last December we took a group of high school students to Malaysia.
"We have been operational on and off for over ten years now and hope to boost our numbers here today."
Another club who were eager to spread their word was Sikaran Martial Arts, who have been operating in Mount isa for almost 50 years.
President Enzo Trigila said he has been doing martial arts since he was 13 years old.
"The club has been running since 1973 and we are still in the very same dojo," Mr Trigila said.
"We are always looking for more people to join us, we specialise in karate and arnis so it's loads of fun, the classes we run are six to 12 then 13 to any age."
