Police alleged that at about 10.40pm on Monday, February 3, a 39-year-old Soldiers Hill woman approached another woman on Burke Street and made a comment before slashing out at her with a pair of scissors.
The woman reportedly sustained a laceration to her left thigh and two lacerations to her torso.
The Soldiers Hill woman has been charged with wounding and was due to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on March 11.
