At 5.30pm on Monday, March 16, a group of youths who were denied entry to a business on Simpson Street allegedly assaulted a security officer.
It is alleged the youths were denied entry due to causing an earlier disturbance at the premises.
The youths then threw rocks at the security officer and went to a business on Miles Street about 15 minutes later and stole a number of items.
A 12-year-old Mount Isa girl has been charged with stealing and serious assault.
A 10-year-old Mount Isa girl and two 11-year-old Mount Isa girls were charged with shop steal.
All four girls will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
