A woman has been arrested for serious assault of police and possession of restricted liquor in Doomadgee

At about 8pm on Saturday, August 15, Police from Doomadgee attended an address on Robert Street in relation to a reported disturbance.
Police said they were attempting to speak to a woman about the possession of restricted liquor when she struck the officer in the face with a bag containing several cans of alcohol.
The 29-year-old Doomadgee woman was taken into custody and charged with serious assault police and possession of restricted liquor.
She is expected to appear in Doomadgee Magistrates Court on September 16.
Meanwhile a man will face drug charges in Normanton after police intercepted a vehicle on Brown Street, Normanton on August 17.
Police conducted a search of the vehicle where they allegedly located a glass methamphetamine pipe.
A search warrant was executed at an address in Normanton where police allegedly located cannabis, scales, utensils and cash.
A 42-year-old Cloncurry woman was charged with possessing utensils and possessing dangerous drugs. She is due to appear in Normanton Magistrates Court on September 14.
A 25-year-old Malanda man was charged with possessing utensils, fail to properly dispose of needle, possessing dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs, possessing anything for use in the commission of crime defined in part 2 and receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying.
The man is due to appear in Normanton Magistrates Court on September 14.
