Ranking officer Assistant Commissioner Brett Schafferius gave the address which mirrored that given by Commissioner Katarina Carroll in Brisbane at the same time.
Assistant Commissioner Brett Schafferius said the purpose of the day was to pause and reflect on the memory of fallen officers.
"We stand and reflect together in honour of them and their loved ones and acknowledge the unimaginable loss they have suffered," A/C Schafferius said.
"Each officer takes a considerable risk every day they go to work in the name of making Queenslanders safe. and the honourable commitment they make deserves to be recognised, hence the importance of this day."
A/C Schafferius noted there were several significant anniversaries on the day which included the 110th anniversary of the death of Constable William Mercer of Cloncurry who fell from his horse fracturing his skull.
The service read out the names of three Queensland officers who died in the last 12 months: Sgt Christopher Gregory, Sgt Charmaine Leafe and Snr Const William Cash.
