Named for Queensland rugby league great Arthur Beetson the event is a popular and important promoter of youth rugby league and it's the second time the Carnival is played in the Curry following a big weekend in 2017.

Under 14 girls will feature players born 2007/8
And under 17 girls will feature players born 2004 to 2006.
Players competing at this Carnival at Cloncurry will be vying for selection into the Queensland Outback Junior Representative Teams that will be attending the 2021 Rees/Orman City-Country Cultural Exchange Carnival at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend of June 26-27.
In previous years players have converged from the Southern and Northern Outback regions covering areas such as Roma, St George, Mitchell, Charleville, Blackall, Barcaldine, Longreach, Winton, Mount Isa, Cloncurry, Hughenden and communities up to the Cape including Normanton.
In 2017 a Qld Police Rugby League Team played against a Northern Outback representative team as the final game of the day.
