MDH Pty Ltd has sold the five large warehouse-style stores to Gold Coast businessman Damian Hall.
MDH bought the chain from administrators in 2012 supplying export quality meat to customers along the eastern coast.
MDH chair and Devoncourt property owner Don McDonald said 2020 had been a good year for the business despite the pandemic and now was a good time to sell.
Mr McDonald's daughter Susan had looked after the retail after the death of her brother Zanda in 2013 but she stepped down after she was elected a federal senator for the LNP in the 2019 election and with no one else in the family keen to move into retail, MDH decided to sell out.
The five stores are located at Ashmore, Birkdale, Browns Plains, Eagle Farm and Oxenford.
Mr Hall now lists himself as Co-Founder Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure and Owner/Managing Director of Super Butcher on his LinkedIn page.
