Two Brisbane men have been charged with drug trafficking in Mount Isa.

Police said that on Wednesday, March 31, police from the Mount Isa Criminal Investigation Branch spoke with two men on Marian St.
They were both detained and searched, along with two backpacks belonging to one of them.
Police located and seized a combined total of 62.4g of methylamphetamine from the backpacks divided into several clip seal bags, a significant amount of Australian currency, just under two grams of cannabis, a plastic water pipe, two sets of digital scales, scissors and a large quantity of new clip seal bags.
A search of one man located a mobile phone and glass pipe.
A search of the second man located a clip seal bag containing 0.02g of a crystalline substance.
Both men were arrested and transported to the Mount Isa Watchhouse.
A 49-year-old Springwood man has been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs (above schedule quantity), receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, possessing anything used in the commission of crime and possess pipes that had been used.
He was denied bail and has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on April 19.
A 47-year-old Springwood man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs.
He was given bail and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on April 21.
