Two local youths have been charged with car thefts after recent incidents in Mount Isa.

At about 9.45pm on Tuesday, July 6, it is alleged a group of youths were tampering with the front gate of a Trainor Street address.
CCTV depicts a boy entering the yard, moving a motorbike from a rear patio and placing it just inside the front gate.
The boys fled when they were disrupted by a witness.
At about 10.40pm on Sunday, July 11, it is alleged two male youths attended a Miles Street motel carpark, entered an unlocked vehicle and attempted to start it.
CCTV depicts the vehicle appearing to stall a number of times and roll backwards into a pole. Both boys exited the vehicle and fled.
A 15-year-old Healy boy charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and trespass. He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Childrens Court at a later date.
A 15-year-old Happy Valley boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and wilful damage.
He was further charged with the alleged stealing of a money tin from a Simpson Street kiosk on June 17 and with affray, relating to his alleged involvement in a large street disturbance on May 15.
He is due to appear in the Mount Isa Childrens Court at a later date.
