Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian has repeatedly insisted she had no knowledge of allegedly dodgy dealings by her ex-boyfriend and former MP Daryl Maguire. Ms Berejiklian faced a second day of grilling by the Independent Commission Against Corruption on Monday, which is probing whether she turned a blind eye to alleged corrupt conduct by Mr Maguire. The former NSW premier said she was mortified and shocked when Mr Maguire made admissions about being involved in a money-making exercise connected to the Canterbury Council while giving evidence in 2018. But Ms Berejiklian again insisted she didn't suspect Mr Maguire was involved in corrupt conduct, instead believing he was unintentionally caught up in something. It's been a big day for Australian families separated by border rules, with tears of joy and smiles shared at NSW and Victorian airport terminals as they reunited - some for the first time in more than 600 days. Border closures - international and state - have been the norm over the past two years, but the freedom to move around our country and return from overseas became slightly easier on November 1. Fully vaccinated international arrivals touching down in Victoria and NSW no longer need to undergo 14 days of quarantine. The arrival cap has been removed for fully vaccinated returning Australians, but unvaccinated people and international arrivals who don't meet the criteria will continue to be limited. Restrictions on domestic travel between Victoria, NSW and the ACT were also dropped on Monday. It's a welcome sign for families and loved ones who've been kept apart by ever-changing border and travel restrictions. Several other states have outlined plans to ease border restrictions, enabling Australians to reunite over the festive season. South Australia is expected to open its border to fully vaccinated people from Victoria, NSW and the ACT from November 23, Tasmania will follow suit on December 15, and Queensland will open on December 17 or when 80 per cent of the state is fully vaccinated.
