Sally has been teaching dance for more than 20 years, and had her first dance schools in Victoria before moving to Mount Isa seven years ago.
Classes have been filling up, with DiLi going from 90 students at the end of last year to 310 students currently.
“I’m getting such quick growth, and a lot of people jumping on board because of what I do and how I do it,” Ms Prendergast said.
Sally has a unique approach to teaching dance with a big focus on self-belief and self-confidence.
“I don’t just teach kids, I try to instill self-confidence and change the inner voice from ‘I can’t’ to ‘I absolutely can’,” she said.
“I love that the most, it’s the most rewarding thing for me, and I think my customers feel that, too.”
Sally said boys hip hop classes are designed to develop strength, flexibility, musicality, creativity and dance style.
