It’s why she is studying to become a nurse, so she can help and care for people.
Now the 22-year-old is off on the adventure of a lifetime to use her abilities, and that big heart, to help people at Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
Ms Anderson said she felt lucky to have scored a coveted spot on the James Cook University placement trip which provides nursing students the opportunity to put their skills to the test.
During her three-week trip Ms Anderson will work beside other health care staff, while contributing to a developing community
Students will join with local nursing and medical services to deliver supervised nursing services and implement community health promotion strategies for disadvantaged populations in diverse settings.
