A 24-year-old Cloncurry woman was charged with assaulting four security guards, failing to leave licensed premises and obstructing police in the performance of an officer’s duties. She was arrested and released on bail to appear before the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on January 21, 2019.
Meanwhile the Queensland Ambulance Service were called to a licensed premise at 1.15am Saturday to attend a 32-year-old Parkside man who was assaulted by a 34-year-old man from The Gap in Brisbane. The man was later released from Mount Isa Hospital and did not press charges.
In an unrelated matter police said a detective sergeant was assaulted by a 32-year-old Happy Valley woman when the officer was issuing her a move on direction following disorderly conduct outside the venue. The officer received bruising and abrasions to his face. She was charged with assaulting police officer and released on bail to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on January 21, 2019.
Police also issued two people following disorderly conduct with Initial Police Banning Notices which prohibit them from licenced premises for 10 days. Police may issue these notices if they are reasonably satisfied a person is disorderly, offensive, threatening or violent in or near a licensed premise and their ongoing presence risk causing violence, impact on safety, is disruptive or interferes with peaceful enjoyment of the place. Contravention of the order can lead to a maximum $7833 fine.
